Teaching Practice Week-6
This week was eventful and productive, filled with various responsibilities, teaching moments, and opportunities for growth during the second phase of my teaching practice.
Key Highlights:
Discipline Duty and Midday Meal Program:
Throughout the week, I carried out my discipline duties in the morning and evening. I also actively participated in the midday meal program, ensuring that students received their meals promptly and efficiently.Observation by Dr. Elizabeth Joshua:
A notable highlight was the observation of my class by Dr. Elizabeth Joshua, our general class teacher, on Monday. The observation provided valuable feedback, which will help me refine my teaching approach.Lesson Plans Completed:
This week, I completed lesson plans in both Physics and Chemistry for class 8. Some of the key topics covered included:- Physics (8E): Formation of images in convex mirrors.
Blood Donation Camp:
On Tuesday, a blood donation camp was organized by the higher secondary students as part of their NSS activities. It was inspiring to witness their sense of responsibility and commitment to social service.Parent-Teacher Meeting:
Earlier in the week, a parent-teacher meeting was conducted for high school students. I was delighted to see that my students in both 8B and 8E had performed exceptionally well in their exams, which was a proud moment as a teacher.
This week reinforced the importance of classroom management, adaptability, and effective communication.
As I progress in my teaching journey, I aim to implement the feedback provided during the observation and make my classes even more interactive and engaging for the students.
